Day 3 | Session 6 | Keynote | Associate Professor Jo Shapiro

The importance of evidence based guidelines in women's health

RANZCOG is committed to developing high quality guidance to support best practice amongst the membership. Translating the findings of high-quality research into evidence based recommendations is a widely accepted practice.

For the past 4 years RANZCOG has been updating their guidelines using new processes for developing guidelines. Multi-disciplinary Guideline Development Groups work with the Research and Policy Team of the RANZCOG. These guidelines are used to inform all aspects of the college work including assessments and patient information.

This presentation will outline the RANZCOG guideline work and provide some examples.
