Date: Sunday 8 June, 2025 | Venue: Dunedin Centre
8.30am - 3.30pm
Registration fee face to face: $95 or complimentary (for those who can attend face to face but are not CME funded)
Registration fee virtual: complimentary
All RANZCOG Fellows, Trainees and interested clinicians are welcome to
attend, if you have an interest in teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate
levels) or research. Our focus will be on engaging students, registrars and
clinicians in teaching and high quality research, improving curriculum
resources and department culture, and taking a leadership role in the
government’s Women’s Health Strategy.
The workshop is our second hui to facilitate collaboration on studies in gynaecology and reproductive health. From a teaching perspective, we will discuss upcoming challenges of a significant increase in med student class size for 2026 with impact on clinical experience (both time in O&G and breadth and depth of learning opportunities) necessitating revision of our joint curriculum. We also will discuss upskilling practitioners in primary care to manage common women’s health issues (such as menopause and abnormal uterine bleeding) due to increasing need in the community and fewer secondary care resources available.
For more information, contact Dr Helen Paterson and Associate Professor Michelle Wise.
